Facebook has reported an increase in mobile advertising profits, easing investor concerns over its future growth.
Investors have been expressing doubts over Facebook’s ability to sell ads on mobile phones, not least because of their small screen size. They had feared that its growth may be hurt as a result.
However, Facebook said 30% of its $1.25 billion advertising profit in the first quarter came from mobile.
Facebook gained a net income of $219 million for the first quarter of 2013.
Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, said they have “made a lot of progress in the first few months of the year.
Ever since Facebook was launched, it has gained tremendous growth and has gone on to dominate the social networking industry.
As Facebook reports a jump in mobile ads profit, analysts say Asia offers the company plenty of room to grow further.
